Dimitra Thomaidou

DRAMATURGY AND PROGRAMME COORDINATION

Dimitra Thomaidou (she/her) is a Berlin-based dramaturg and cultural manager from Serres, Greece. She studied philology (BA, University of Ioannina), theater and performance (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Delos Drama School), and dramaturgy (MA, HfMT Hamburg) and holds a diploma in cultural management (Deutsche Akademie für Management). She has collaborated on diverse projects in Greece and Germany - including among others collaborations with Ballhaus Naunynstraße, Akademie der Künste, Deutsche Oper Berlin, BAM! Festival at Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, and Athens & Epidaurus Festival. Her work approaches dramaturgy ßas the affective design of an artwork and as a practice of critical engagement that connects aesthetics with social and political contexts.
