KALLIOPI MITROPOULOU

COMPOSER + PERFORMER

Kalliopi Mitropoulou is a versatile composer and performer, always between the classical and the pop world.
She has worked as a violinist with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Contemporary Orchestra, National Opera of Greece and more. She has written three film scores for three silent movies, for dance performances and advertisements. She is the lead singer of Oi Va Voi, Echo Tides, Erland Cooper, Pan Pan, a collaborator to Vassilina and many more artists and ensembles. Her first attempt to compose music was through her experimental duo T U R Q U O I S E and her ensemble SIBiLIMA, a group that consists of a classical string quartet plus a cretan lyra.
She independently released her first three solo singles from her upcoming debut LP BETWEEN, which will be out on April 2025 by Submersion Records.
Her music is focused on her voice, combined with melted strings and pop experimental sounds.
